White River High School located in the foothills of Mt. Rainier, and is the perfect environment for any student to learn. Situated around evergreens and the majestic Mt. Rainier the environment is nothing short of breath taking. With the community genuine to the heritage of the 1900’s, the population is smaller than most surrounding areas; Buckley is able to leave you with the warmth of family. White River High School was constructed only four years ago with modern architecture in mind; the lines are clean and contemporize with an open floor plan throughout all areas of the school. The facilities provide modern technologies for use by all students. Just last year White River was awarded the James D. MacConnell Award in 2005 for the planning of educational facilities to promote student achievement, it was also awarded the Civil Design Merit Award in 2005 recognizing the great civic design.
