White River School District has always been able to respond to the challenges it has faced. The latest set of challenges that have resulted from the state's budget reductions will be extremely difficult. Yet in the face of these challenges we feel there are opportunities. We ask for your support and understanding as we make difficult decisions.

We know that families, White River staff and the entire community are very concerned. The national and state budget crises are too deep to escape cuts.

In an effort to provide families, staff, and community with information about the impact of these budget reductions, we have provided the links below.

It is our hope that as our state works through these difficult budget decisions, they will emerge with a more thoughtful process and cohesive thinking about how to fund K-12 education in this state.

What can you do?
Encourage your state elected officials to fully fund K-12 by writing or calling your state representatives and state senators. If you have ideas of how the district can save money, we want to hear from you! Send us your suggestions.
