Announcing Student WRmail (email) accounts                    

The White River School District is excited to announce that we will be providing online email accounts for 6-12^th grade students through a service provided by Google called Google Apps for Education. In addition to email, these accounts include an online calendar, web-based documents, and other communication/collaboration tools. The purpose of these accounts is to help students better communicate with teachers and each other for learning purposes, giving students practice in using the types of technology tools essential to their future. 

Google Apps for Education is similar to the tools you can use when signing up for a personal Gmail account but it is specially designed for schools to provide extra management and monitoring tools. There is no cost for these accounts. For more information on these tools visit: www.google.com/a/edu

All 6-12^th grade students will be provided WRmail accounts. If, after reviewing the Student Email FAQs page, a parent wishes to “opt out” of providing their child an online WRmail account, please click on the WRmail Opt Out link to fill out form indicating their child is not to receive an account.
