“WCAP: Keeping Washington’s Students on Track for College and Career”. This site contains a visual guide explaining the main parts of the Family Report, also known as the Student Score Report, document. Parents can use drop-down menus for grade, subject, and score range to access information about the knowledge and skills represented by student’s scores, along with some sample items from Smarter Balanced. There is also a section containing links to other webpages with resources designed for parents.
Information for families about state assessments, scoring and reporting, parent information packets and procedures and guidelines for requesting to view their child’s test can be found on the WCAP Portal through the Students & Families Card in the General Information section

Practice Tests
Smarter Balanced practice tests are publicly available for any tested grade or subject. These tests provide a simulated test experience with questions and tasks similar to what students will see on the assessment. Assessments consist of two main formats: performance tasks and non-performance tasks.
Performance tasks challenge students to connect multiple sources of information on real-world problems with a common theme or scenario. These tasks ask students to demonstrate a variety of skills such as writing, listening, and research in a way that cannot be measured using traditional question formats such as multiple-choice.
