Special Education Distance Learning Resources

To support our WRSD families during this challenging time amidst the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, we have compiled a list of resources to continue the process of home learning. This list will expand in the coming weeks. We will continue to update resources frequently for all grade levels of our student support services programs. Our staff will continue to add resources and information weekly, as well as information about how these resources can be used.

Please use this unique time to review and enrich your child's learning, while encouraging creativity and project-focused learning that harnesses a child's natural curiosity and creativity.

Before accessing materials with your child, we also recommend reviewing the importance of Digital Citizenship. For technical support, please contact our WRSD Tech Team.

It is important to keep consistency for your child during these challenging times. We recommend creating a daily routine for your child. The schedule can be flexible to meet the needs of your family. The resources below may be helpful to incorporate into a daily routine. We will continue to add resources, so please check back. If your child's education team has provided additional resources, you will continue to have access to those as well.

A great first step for you is to be familiar with your student's IEP and areas of support.  Knowing the language in your student's IEP will be helpful as you consider the activities and areas of focus best suited for your student's needs.

We have compiled resources, links and activities to structure your day with your child. Work with your child in each content area for the amount of time that works best for your child. Feel free to repeat any activity from any day of the week during your work time with your child.  There are materials for multiple content areas such as Adaptive, Math, and Movement.  Activities can be done in any order that fits for your family.
