as we embark on the Journey of the 2023 to 2024 school year here in White River I want to welcome back our returning Educators students and families inviting you to continue our journey of achievement together with the year filled with Discovery comradery and advancement some fresh faces in the White River Community I want to offer special greeting as we celebrate the hope and promise of new beginnings over the last decade as we have partnered with our community to create something special here in White River we have some of the performing schools in Washington in our schools in our district are nationally recognized as leaders in school Improvement there's a lot that goes into this but the bottom line is that we believe we serve the very best students in Washington are going to do great things is that beliefs that drives our work and encourages us to continue our pursuit of Excellence as we work towards our Collective commitment to ensure high levels of learning for each student as we prepare them for Success After High School while you were taking your summer break we've busy preparing for the year ahead and working on special projects that simply can't happen during the school year Paving projects are complete as well as several other maintenance projects 4/4 amazing custodial team have worked tirelessly to get our facilities ready for the first days of school coaches and our student-athletes and how can stand for paid in offseason tournaments in our teachers have worked to prepare their rooms anxiously anticipating the arrival of the year and the bonds that will be forged through hard work and academic text one almost hit the game-winning shot as we begin this journey together I want to share a message of encouragement and hope for both our staff and our student we have the ability to achieve so much together and I want to encourage you to choose Excellence this year this means cutting a Cisco taking the initiative need make those are reality being accountable for your progress in staying focused on your dreams let's work together and make the choice to be difference makers in our schools and our community picking up Unity I would be remiss if I didn't expect our sincere appreciation for the support that this community has consistently demonstrated for our school in the boardroom to the classroom your ongoing commitment and tireless support is evident show me the programs that we offer wouldn't be possible without you and you show up to celebrate our amazing students in ways that simply don't happen in other districts we have a lot of work ahead of us and their undeniable challenges ahead but we will face though gather the courage and the fortitude to define the White River which we've done some amazing things in White River but look out he's only just begun
