Student Enrollment

Online Registration for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school year is currently open. 
 
Please carefully choose the Current Year Enrollment 2024-2025 for enrollments for the remainder of this school year or the Next Year Enrollment 2025-2026 for Fall Enrollment. Applications submitted for the incorrect school year will be subject to resubmission. 
Welcome to the White River School District, a place where teachers, students and parents partner together to make learning a priority.  We hope both you and your child will find White River to be a great place to learn and grow. Our Staff is inspired to see the potential in every student, every day!
 
There are many ways you can be part of your child’s education, both at home and at school. Encourage reading. Make sure your students are at school regularly and on time. We don’t want them to miss a minute! Don’t hesitate to volunteer. There are countless ways you can be of help routine tasks, special events, in the classroom and with extra-curricular activities.  
 
If your student is currently enrolled (for example, as a preschool or early kindergarten student) you do not need to enroll them again.

  • Medically Verified Immunization Records 
  • Emergency Contacts
  • Documentation of Birth which may include any of the following: birth certificate; hospital certificate, religious or physicians certificate showing date of birth; a passport; previously verified school records, an adoption record;  an affidavit from a parent; an entry in a family bible; or any other documents permitted by law
 
Required items need to be uploaded, have them readily available during your online enrollment process.

Native Amercian Program Form (Form 506)-If you have a child or children with Native American heritage please complete a Native American Program form  each child and return the forms to the district.
 
In the White River School District, our early learning programs include half-day preschool, full-day transition to kindergarten, and full-day kindergarten. Program qualifications vary based on age and need.
 
Please note that the submission of an application is not a confirmation of enrollment. 
Preschool: For best consideration, submit applications by March 31, 2025.
 
Preschool
Half-day preschool classrooms provide students with the opportunity to learn and grow in inclusive classroom spaces prior to enrollment in Kindergarten.   Our students receive high-quality, rigorous early learning experiences while engaging with same-age peers with all different abilities. This is a locally funded program and space is limited.
Preschool students attend school either mornings or afternoons. 
Age: 4 years old on August 31st and will turn 5 years old on or after September 1st. 
Students ages 3-5 who receive special education services.

Transition to Kindergarten
Transition to Kindergarten (TtK) is a full-day early learning program for children who do not have access to early learning experiences prior to kindergarten. Students are identified through a screening process. The program is designed to provide additional preparation in order to be successful in Kindergarten. Space is limited.

Transition to Kindergarten students attend Monday - Friday for the full day.
Age: 4 years old on August 31st and will turn 5 years old on or after September 1st.

  • Eligibility for TtK is determined by the following factors (per state guidelines):
  • A child who has been determined by the local education agency to benefit from additional preparation for kindergarten through a screening process and tool and
  • A child who is at least four years old by August 31st of the school year in which they enroll in a transition to kindergarten program.
  • Priority to children most in need of additional preparation to be successful in kindergarten, as demonstrated through a screening process and tool.
  • Priority to children with the lowest family income not otherwise participating in another local program.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten is a full-day program hosted at both the Early Learning Center and Elk Ridge Elementary. Our students receive high-quality rigorous academic, social and behavioral instruction.  Our teachers provide a nurturing learning environment where children learn by engaging in active, hands-on activities. Teachers encourage curiosity and creativity and students can be seen singing, moving, creating and playing.
Kindergarten students attend Monday - Friday for the full day. 
Age: Student turns 5 prior to September 1st

If you are unable to complete enrollment online, paper enrollment packets are available at your neighborhood school.  Enrollment packets are also available in Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.
