Transportation

 
Due to current transportation staff shortages, some bus routes may be affected this school year. Please note these important items that could affect your child’s regular route:
 
Route Changes:
-Pick-up and drop-off times could vary because of the need to double up on bus runs.
-As soon as we know if a route is affected, we will communicate with families with as much advance notice as possible.
 
Route Cancellations:
-When no bus drivers are available, it’s possible we may not be able to provide bus transportation for some routes.
-We encourage families to have a backup plan for transportation.
-Any tardies or absences due to route cancellation will be excused.
-As soon as we know if a route is affected, we will communicate with families with as much advance notice as possible.
 
All student riders must be assigned a bus route.  If you wish for your student to be assigned a bus route, you must mark transportation during the registration process in Skyward.  Contact the school if assistance is needed in setting up transportation.  It may take 2-3 days for your student to be assigned a route, and appear in your Family Access busing tab.

REMINDERS

  1. Be at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled stop time
  2. Please be patient with us the first few days of school, the buses may run late as we are learning new faces and the places they belong
  3. Most Mondays are 1-hour late start. Check with your school for exact dates that are not late start.
As you are likely aware, there is a national shortage of bus drivers. In White River, our drivers take pride in showing up for our kids every single day. We will do the best we can to get all students to school as quickly and safely as possible, every single day. Your support and patience are appreciated!
